Portugal is the first semi-finalist of the Euros. They beat Poland 5-3 on penalties and now they will wait for the result of the second quarter-final game Wales vs Belgium. First half of the game were incredible. Lewandowski gave Poland a great start, sliding a ball past Rui Patricio. Then, few minutes later Renato Sanches, an 18-year-old, scored a beauty from 20m. Game entered in extra times, but there were no goals so penalties decided the first semi finalist. Blaszczykowski missed crucial penalty for Poland and Rikardo Quaresma scored the penalty which took his team into semi-finals without acctually winning a game in regular time at Euro 2016. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first penalty for Portugal, but he was unable to break Platini's 9-goal-record. He had several great chances but he couldn't find the net. |
